Location:

Beautifully located in nature, overlooking lake Geneva in the French part of Switzerland (90 km from Geneva), Chantemerle offers a well balanced learning environment where personal enrichment through sports, art and culture is as important as academic success.

School Info:

Chantemerle has a proven history of excellence in over 50 years of its existence. The school offers a private boarding and day school for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 18. The boarding facilities are offered on a 5-day or 7-day basis, with some students returning home on weekends.

Boarding students are housed in comfortable 2 to 4-bedded rooms according to their age, gender and friendship. A great team of dedicated and hard-working teachers, educators and support staff strive to ensure that every child has the best educational experience they can possibly have.

Day students also observe a similar schedule with the boarders at no added cost. Chantemerle offers a reliable shuttle service from the Blonay Train Station daily to the school for day students. With a team of experienced and dedicated teachers, educators and other support staff, students at Chantemerle are adequately nurtured towards achieving their potentials.

Academics:

At Chantemerle, we aim at educating and nurturing every child, ensuring they acquire the knowledge, life skills and attitudes to fulfill their potential and be successful in the future. Chantemerle offers the following academic programs:

Elementary and middle school program: The main objective is to prepare students to pursue higher studies in Switzerland. Courses are taught in French. Chantemerle prepares for the French National Brevet, the Swiss and international high schools entrance exams as well as language certifications (DELF, Cambridge and Goethe). Chantemerle also offers Advanced Preparation Program in Mathematics, French, German as well as in Economics / Law. This Advanced Preparation Program offers high performing students an additional challenge and a stronger basis for future university studies and careers.

French Immersion program: this program is designed for foreign students willing to learn French fast and to validate a full academic year in Switzerland.

High school resident program (IB diploma and Swiss Federal Matura): In partnership with two highly respected private day schools, students ages 13 to 19 can enter the Swiss Federal Matura or the International Baccalaureate (IB) program while being full time resident at Chantemerle.

Sports & Studies: Ideally suited for students aged 12 to 18 who wants to pursue both competition-level sports (ski, soccer or basketball) and academic achievements.

Students ages 15+ willing to continue their studies in Switzerland prepare for the International Baccalaureate (I.B) or the Swiss Maturity diploma (residency program).

Summer and Winter Educational Camps:

Throughout the school year and during the Summer, Chantemerle hosts residential educational camps for individual students and school groups
